Teen Mogul Gabrielle Jordan Seeking Youth To Recognize For First ExCEL Honors Awards
By Alejandra Stack
She was one of a select few teens recognized by First Lady Michelle Obama during the Black Girls Rock awards show, and a best-selling author at age nine. She had her own mentoring institute for kidprenuers (of which I am happy to be an ambassador and graduate of!), an online store featuring products by kidprenuers and a couture jewelry line, Jewelz of Jordan. When she’s not highlighting kids, she’s got her own segment on a top-rated Maryland/D.C morning show. So at age 18 and a TEDx speaker, what else is there for Gabrielle Jordan to do?
She’s giving back in a HUGE way by honoring other amazing kids with the first ever ExCEL Youth Honors. The awards show will be taking place in Maryland on June 21, 2019 and nominations are being accepted NOW. Completed Nomination Forms must be received NO LATER than 11:59PM (EST), Tuesday, February 19, 2019.
So if you know an outstanding youth, click here to nominate them. Categories include:

Youth Leadership Award

Youth Change Maker Award
Youth Organization Award
Parent Manager Award
“I never intended to raise a young entrepreneur,” says Marcella Mollon-Williams, co-founder of the ExCEL Youth Mentoring Institute and Gabrielle’s mom. “My goal was to raise leaders that would leave a positive impact on society. Entrepreneurship came naturally once leadership was established.”
The First Annual ExCEL Honors will not only recognize the outstanding efforts of our
youth and their supporters, but will also raise funds to continue to provide free and affordable youth programs.
So nominate someone today and make sure mention you heard about it from KidNewsMaker! Be sure to share so that other kids can have the opportunity to be highlighted!
