Atlanta, Georgia… Our former KidNewsMaker cover kid Christon ‘The Truth’ Jones will be honoring several outstanding youth with the Truth Playmakers Awards. Truth is a 12-year-old motivational speaker, author, and stock investor (watch video at the end of this article) who has even helped our publisher Allie get into the game with his highly sought after classes. And his kid sister Bailey Love Jones who became an author at age six is helping him as a co-producer.
“Bringing love, support, education, and excitement is the best way for us to build a bridge between our up and coming leaders and our current leaders/heroes,” said Bailey. “By providing a community where the most talented and influential people can contribute to one another’s success.”

The Truth Playmakers is a private, invitation-only event. The private kid star-studded event has a global online footprint of more than 10 million global impressions. It is a part of a charitable organization that focuses on teaching kids in business, entertainment, activism, and sports about financial literacy.
“The event recognizes Black excellence in youth who have positively impacted the business, sports, social, and entertainment industry,” said Truth. “This luxurious event features a red carpet gala reception, live entertainment, and an awards ceremony graced by elite guests, celebrities, performing artists, influencers, and business professionals.”
Honorees include Chef Simone Bridges, inventor Bishop Curry V, Patti LaBelle cover singing sensation Skye Turner, the youngest licensed barber in the USA Neijae Graham-Henries, drummer Joshua Grant, prodigy Elijah Precceily, philanthropist Khloe Thompson, actor Sage Meyer, Chef Ashalah Wright, entreprenuers Anthony and Ja’den, Nathaniel Sobers, visionary Armiah Gilchrist, Dylan and Denver Humphrey, Caleb Stewart, Chef Aaron Smith, track star Rudolph ‘Blaze’ Ingram, journalist Alejandra Stack and photographer Myles Minishotta.
The honorees are also collaborating on a book to share their secrets to success.
“In celebration of Black Excellence, we’re spotlighting youth under the age of 17 who just so happen to be black, bold, brilliant, and built for success,” Truth said. “These rising playmakers, thought leaders, creatives, and entrepreneurs are making a tangible difference on this generation and those to follow. Collectively, they are the leaders of tomorrow who exemplify the vastness and richness of our culture. Their passion and unwavering commitment to inclusivity and progress have shown the world the bold brilliance of blackness, and its irreplaceable magic.”
